Hey DotA Addicts!. The DotA 6.69b Map Download. IceFrog has recently issued a new patch, DotA 6.69b as a hotfix for v6.69. This patch addresses some bugs such as, Techies bug which caused Remote mines/Statis Trap to disappear when Aghanim's Scepter is equipped. He has also removed the traditional DotA 6.69 Quest which was added earlier.

Hey Dota Addicts!, This post is related to News and updates associated with DotA 6.69 AI Map. As the DotA Lord (Developer): IceFrog has launched 6.69 with a couple of improvements to our favorite game. Now it's DotA 6.69 AI tuzrn, We hope AI map developers Harreke & PleaseBugMeNot start working on v6.69 AI soon so those players who can't play online can play DotA 6.69 Artificial Intelligence version.

Quest Guide for DotA 6.69 Map | DotA v6.69 Hidden Side Quest Solution
Hey Dota Addicts!, Dota 6.69 Secret, Hidden Quest Guide. As IceFrog already told us that there will be a new 6.69 hidden quest which will follow the tradition. Now, The DotA 6.69 is released with secret x.9 quest in which you have to destroy the runes, kill IceFrogs to summon Phoenix boss and then kill it. You'll get a nice reward item in return.
DotA 6.69 Quest Guide:
Destroy the Runes:
To start to side quest, You need destroy the PreRune and other 2 runes found in the map.
• PreRune can be found in the middle of the map near Top rune.
• Now, Destroy both Runes. First Rune can be found near Scourge top 2nd tower and second rune can be found near Sentinel bottom first tower.
• After Destroying all the runes, Find IceFrogs and kill them.
Note: Since, IceFrogs are invisible and can not be killed by physical attacks. You need to get Gem of True Sight and Dagon.

For XP "heroes" means the number of heroes in the area.
For Gold "Assist" means the number of heroes in the area besides the killer.

New Loadscreen Coming in DotA 6.69
Hey DotA Addicts!, In IceFrog's latest blog, he has posted another development update of the next patch. This time, he has confirmed the appearance of new loading screen which will be included in DotA 6.69. Also, the development for next patch is progressing nicely likely to be finished in near future, he added. Read IceFrog's complete post:

There is a new loadscreen in the works right now. It will most likely be included in the next update.
6.69 development has also been progressing nicely. I'm not sure exactly when it will be finished just yet, but I'm aiming for something in the near future. I will post another update when it is closer.

Hey DotA Addicts! At last, IceFrog has blogged the final update of DotA 6.69 map to notify the DotA fans that new patch is about to release soon. The DotA 6.69 is focused to provide balance and gameplay improvements, he added. Also, it was already mentioned that this map will contain a traditional quest and a new loadscreen. The update is nearing completion. It took a little longer than anticipated, but it should be ready soon. The primary focus of this patch is to provide overall balance and gameplay improvements, while the follow-up content for 6.70 is still being developed. Of course you can still expect the traditional .x9 quest to be included!
I plan to release this within a week or two to provide some time before the start of some big tournaments in the following months.

Hey DotA Addicts!, After a long wait and all the rumors Valve has announced official release of DotA 2 in 2011 which will be released on both Mac & PC. As you may already know, IceFrog was hired by Valve in late 2009 for the development of most popular Warcraft 3 Mod - DotA. Now, they are about to release Valve DotA 2 in which the whole DotA concept will be ported in upgraded manner.
The vital change in DotA 2 is that it will run on Valve's Source Engine which will remove all the Warcraft 3 limitations. All the heroes, items, terrain, buildings will be ported same as in current version of DotA. Anyone who plays Warcraft 3 - Dota will instantly recognize DotA 2. However, there are still some things which are new in DotA 2.
Following are some features Valve introduced about incoming DotA 2:
In-game Voice Chat:
DotA 2 will have integrated voice chat feature which will allow players to communicate during game without using 3rd party software.
Leaver AI replacement:
Disconnected players will be replaced by AI bots which will take control over the hero. It will be available in unranked matches.
Heroes Voice:
DotA 2 will feature new voice work. You'll get amusing lines from heroes as they deny the enemy team last hits on creeps, and champions who have backstory connections will trade quips when nearby.
Rewards & Matchmaking System:
Valve is using it's traditional Steamworks as a matchmaking & community rewards system which will allow you to create in-game rewards for participating in community forums.
Coaching & Training System:
It is indeed a revolutionary & surprise step taken by Valve by entering in the world of MMO-RTS games with the help of IceFrog. Finally, DotA Fans had some relief after hearing some of the features of the upcoming DotA 2. The upgraded heroes are still looking remarkable in the images. It's good that Valve DotA 2 team revealed something but fans will still consider it as a drop in a ocean that IceFrog still refused to disclose his name in the community.

Valve DotA 2 Will Be Announced Tomorrow
Hey Dota Addicts!, The DotA Lord a.k.a IceFrog (DotA Developer) recently blogged a Valve's DotA 2 surprise update just short after the big DotA 6.69 release. The new DotA 2 which he has been working on with Valve for an year will be announced tomorrow on Game Informer magazine. This is indeed an exciting news for all the DotA community around the world. Valve 'DOTA' Trademark Is Being Filed
Hey DotA Addicts!, Here comes another sign of Valve developing it's own Defense of the Ancients based game after the Jon St. John Tweet leaking the Valve DotA project. Now it's getting more clearer. Valve corporation has just applied Trademark for word 'DOTA'. It looks like IceFrog & Valve are very serious with their DotA project and they don't want any copyright/legal issues.
Let's see if Valve gets Trademark for 'DOTA'. In my opinion it will be hard for Valve to pick up existing public domain material and trademarking it. DotA is the product developed by Euls, Guinsoo, IceFrog and by the help of community suggestions. Also, Valve has to make sure if the are putting content with Blizzard's Warcraft III Trademark on their DotA based game.
Things are getting really interesting in DotA Genre games, what about Heroes Of Newerth, League, Bloodline Champions, Demigod etc. Are they taking note?

Hey Dota Addicts!, The DotA 6.69 Development Update. Recently, The DotA Lord a.k.a IceFrog has blogged a quick update of DotA 6.69 to let us know that development has already been started and it will not take much time as DotA 6.68 took. As usual, he asked for the feedback for the upcoming changes in DotA 6.69. For e.g. Balancing, Items, Loading Screen etc.
Its Really good to hear that we won't have to wait half an year for a map. By the way, DotA has a tradition of Hidden Quests (easter eggs) every 6.x9 versions. So, expect IceFrog to include a hidden quest in Dota 6.69. Also, Share your suggestions about this map via comments.

DotA 6.68c AI Map Download | DotA Allstars 6.68c AI Plus Download
Hey Dota Addicts!, The As we all know that DotA 6.68c AI is the upcoming DotA AI map that is under development process and expected to release very soon. Harreke & PleaseBugMeNot are currently working on DotA v6.68c AI Project. Harreke is developing his own AI script and PleaseBugMeNot is following BMP's AI script. So there may be two versions of 6.68c AI this time.

Update #2: Quick Update (October 27, 2010):
Hello, guys.
Just a quick update on the status of the AI map. The item builds for DotA 6.68c AI series are ready. The AITeam are testing them. As you know in 6.69 there are changes in some items and recipes and that will need another item build overhaul. There is a new mode called -ld (Low Dodge Mode). Some users complained how AI (Normal and Hard) are dodging almost always Pudge`s Hooks and some other skills. The mode will compensate that problem... it will be available as a command from the hosting player. Writing -old once will enable that mode and writing it again will disable it. You`ll see a message with the current status of the mode.
That mode affects Meat Hook but also Nerubian Assassin's Impale, Demon Witch's Impale, Fissure, and Ice Path.
There are some weird bugs which we will address. Also i started renaming and de-obfuscating a lot of functions and variables... i hope that will make the work on the script easier.

And here is the test of the Eredar, Shadow Demon. All skills are working. Gyrocopter and Thrall are already working. I can say the waiting for 6.68 was worth it, very nice heroes. Congrats, IceFrog! The next work on the list, making item recipes work. Without that fix, the map will be unplayable. So, keep your fingers crossed.

Dota 6.69b Bug - Summon 2 Spirit Bears!
Our favorite DotA bug poster, Kuarinofu has made a new video of Lone Druid's Spirit Bear Bug in DotA 6.69b. By abusing this bug, you can summon 2 Spirit Bear which will give you extra 6 inventory slots, mass lane pushing, greater entangle chance and opponent's rage. Dota 6.68c AI Plus - Dota-Allstars 6.68c AI Plus Map Download News and Update. Seems that lots of bugs forced IceFrog to release the Dota 6.68c, even when the Dota 6.68 AI is not yet finished. So, it's very likely that the AI map developer just go straight into DotA 6.68c AI.

Seems PleaseBugMeNot has just finished porting the reliable gold system and updated the Dagon script for AI. He also showed us some picture about the new AI. Glad he was here when BMP resigned and Harekke is still trying to develop his own AI :)

DotA 6.67b AI Fun v2.0 Map Download | Many Fun Heroes!
DotA 6.67b AI Fun v1.6c Map Download - Dota-Allstars 6.67b AI Fun v1.6c Map. Overflow has just released another version of his DotA Fun AI Map. The previous version only added Bastion, but this time you will have the chance to use 6 fun heroes, including Cloud Strife!
Here is the list of the fun heroes:

Instruction

Blizzard DotA for StarCraft 2 Announced - BlizzCon
After having so many DotA Genre games like League of Legends, Heroes Of Newerth and Valve's DotA 2. The PC games giant Blizzard has announced 4 new maps for StarCraft 2 on the opening day of BlizzCon 2010. Surprisingly, Blizzard's DotA was one of it.
